Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflections

Reflections are fun to play around with – I love coming across a pond or a puddle that reflects a whole different world in its depths, whether it be a sky full of feathery clouds or a canopy of summer leaves. It was tough trying to come up with the one image I’d use for this challenge… there was a stone pool in Japan, or maybe the puddle reflecting the lacy latticework of the Eiffel Tower in fall… but finally I decided to post one a little closer to home.

Walking in Soho, there’s some new construction that around that is ultra-shiny and sleek – anyone who’s seen the Freedom Tower on a sunny day can attest to the blinding reflections it sends out! I love Soho not just for the shopping but also for the classic architecture that exists, so I thought it was an interesting juxtaposition to have this modern and ultra-reflective building with another building inside, the older soul of Soho.
