An end of the year photographic round-up of 2012? Can we say HECK YEAH?! This week’s challenge from the Daily Post was only a challenge in so much as trying to narrow down what pictures to use… I started out with 30 so I managed to cut it down to half that, but still not that the 12 they suggested haha. Excess is in my nature I suppose.
Looking back through my photos, 2012 was quite an eventful year – full of trips big and small, with my mother-in-law coming to live with us, and of course with my wedding. This year seems like the start of my friends getting married – 3 this year and 6 and counting next year! Weddings are a pricey business, for guests as well as the bride and groom, but I do love a great party! I’ll be looking forward to 2013 and everything it has to bring!
Annual ski trip to Vermont with my girlfriends! We always have a great time skiing, doing a belated Secret Santa, and of course eating great food.
My husband and I had our pre-honeymoon in Cancun! It was sunny and picture perfect. We had a wonderful time relaxing on the beach, and doing that whole swimming with dolphins thing.
Revisiting my alma mater during cherry blossom time. “High above Cayuga’s waters…”
this blurry shot from my bachelorette needs no more explanation.
Our blur of a wedding day! It was amazing to share it with our friends and family but I have to admit I was glad when it was all over!
July 4th fireworks at Niagara Falls 🙂
I always have a great time at the Sterling Renaissance Festival!
We visited the Thousand Islands region on Labor Day – what a great weekend trip! It’s a beautiful area full of natural charms.
Revisited my old high school back in NYC. This year was our 10 year reunion and I did end up going later this year and it was actually great to reconnect with old friends! A little surprisingly I must admit.
Our girl’s trip to Puerto Rico, watching the sunset from a rooftop lounge on our last day there. The rainforest, the beach and the food – we got it all!
Fall comes to Syracuse in a blaze of glory!
My first basketball game – the Knicks vs the 76ers! Knicks lost however 😦
One of my best friends got married! I loved being a bridesmaid and getting to plan some of the events to make her feel special on her big day. Check out her sparkly toms! Very comfortable when getting ready for the festivities.
Christmas day = cinnamon pancakes and The Hobbit and half-price sushi. Great combo!
First major snowfall here and the lake is a vision of serenity. Counting down the days til the new year!
