Here in central New York, the brisk (and getting brisker) weather has brought with it a gorgeous palette of fall colors for the trees and bushes. Word on the leaf-watching street is that because of the particularly hot dry summer we had, the fall leaves are going to be beautiful this year! And also, in retribution for all that warm weather, the winter is probably going to be terrible.
Still, I’m not going to worry about the impending snowy doom that is winter in Syracuse when we have fall glory all around us! The trees are on fire with color in all different shades of red, orange, and yellow – and I am loving it!
Here are a few pictures from my area. It’s a little sad to think that soon the leaves will turn dry and brittle and lose their color… but that just means we’ll appreciate them even more for their transience! Continue reading
